Should I Consult A Doctor For Fever And Loss Of Appetite In A Child After A Nose Injury?

my 4 year old fell and bumped his nose a few hours ago, his nose was bleeding at that time. now, he is acting very lethargic and falling asleep, has no appetite and when I measured his temperature, its 99 on the forehead. does this warrant a trip to the emergency room?

Pediatrician, Pulmonology 's  Response
Hi,

First, be reassured that your kid is normal. I will suggest you danger signs of head injury -

1. Vomiting continuously
2. Seizures
3. Watery or bloody discharge from ears and nose
4. Unconsciousness
5. Altered sensorium or behavior.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
