Should I Consult A Specialist Doctor For Pain Management?

I'm SO frustrated... I have SEVERE pain and chronic fatigue from Fibromyalgia. I've had it for over 20 yrs. My previous pain management doctor had me hooked on all kinds of narcotics, which I'm now off of... The pain keeps me from enjoying life! I'm almost 50 and feel like I'm trapped in my body! I eat healthy, but it's hard to exercise... I've gained so much weight. I have a good general medicine doctor but I don't think she knows how to handle my pain. I think I need a specialist but don't know where to turn..... HELP!

HI
Thank for asking to HCM
The sky is the limit this is a appropriate quote for fibromyalgia, this means you just go on taking all kinds of analgesic right form mild to potent NSAID to NARCOTIC, that's all becomes useless in this disease because this is more functional type of disease, you can better manage the pain on your own without the pain killer, and for that you have to learn how to tolerate the pain, how to keep the stress level low, how to relax, once you learnt this, then you wont be in need of any potent pain killing medicine, hope this information helps you, have nice day.
