Should I Consult The Doctor For Severe Abdominal Pain?

I was in a car accident 5 days ago and suffering with just a little bruising and soreness from the seatbelt. I woke up this morning with gurgling stomach and serious abdominal pains/diarrhea. It is now 7:00pm and I still have sharp abdominal pain. I m a 23 yo female. Should i go to the doctor?

Hi

I would suggest you to visit your doctor as soon as possible to rule out any fluid collection or internal bleeding in the abdomen. Abdominal ultrasound should be taken to detect any abnormal fluid collection.

Abdominal pain could also be due to muscle strain which may require bed rest and pain killers. But only after clinical examination, the cause can be identified.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards
