Should I Continue Cipro And Flagyl Incase Of Diarrhea?

The Er doc dx me with diverticulitis due to c/o lt lower quad pain.Gave me 2 po antibiotics. I started them and pain did go away.But now 2 days into the antibiotics, im having watery stools after taking the med. Should i continue the atb? Cipro BID and flagyl Q 8h were prescribed.Thanx

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

You might have developed antibiotics induced diarrhea. You can stop flagyl as it is more prone to develop diarrhea. Cipro can be continued as it can cause only mild diarrhea. You can also add probiotics like vizylac for symptomatic relief.
