General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Yes, you should. The older combination pill (e.g. Microgynon 30) contains two hormones and comes in a pack of four pills. All four pills are taken as soon as possible following unprotected sex, within 4–12 hours.

Combination pills are only recommended if the other option is not available.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Ajeet Singh, General & Family physician
