Should I Have X-ray For Swelling In Upper Middle Finger?

I smashed my upper middle finger by trying to catch a falling mirror and it got smashed. I can bend it, should I go have an x ray done on it? Right now i have it tapped to another finger and i have just got done icing it to reduced some swelling. What do I do now?

Hello,

Definitely, an x-ray is suggestive. Since the icing is done and no swelling then we should get a clear x-ray image and possible injuries if present any. I appreciate you for the quick action of icing and immobilizing the joint. Post x-ray treatment will be accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
