Should I Take The Laxatives To Remove The Diamonds One In Small And The Other In Large Intestine Which Was Accidently Swallowed?

On November 27th I accidently swallowed my two diamond stud earrings. Don't ask. Anyway, nothing for two weeks so I went in to get an xray. There they were. Radiologist said one in my small intestine and one in my large. Doctor said keep checking, be patient and call if I have any abdominal pain. That was almost three weeks ago. Do I need another xray to see if they are moving? Should I take some laxatives? Do I call my doctor again?

Hello

Thanks for the query

Foreign body especially sharp ended ones could get impacted onto the walls of the intestines which explains why it has not passed yet even after a couple of weeks. Laxatives might not be of help. Please approach a gastroenterologist to undergo a colonoscopy to retrieve it if it is still present. Get another x ray to know if they are still there

I wish you good health

Regards
