Should I Worry About My Husband Who Is Feeling Nauseous, Dizzy And Feverish?

Hi my partner has suspected heatstroke, he says he feels nauseous, dizzy if he stands and has a headache I’m not sure of his temp as I don’t have s thermometer but he is definitely hotter than he should be? Should I take him to the hospital as he is still able to drink water but not eating?

Hello,

The dehydration due to heatstroke can cause dizziness problem.

But you have to rule out Labyrinthitis like inner ear infection also by Otoscopy ear examination.

Your blood pressure also needs to be checked.

I suggest you investigate with EKG also for primary workup.

For your dizziness betahistine or cinnarizine can be prescribed.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
