Should Mefkind Forte Be Given For Fever And Sore Throat For A 2 Year Old?
Hi my son is 2 years old,his throat is not gud aur he is having khansi,he is having a fever for 3dayz and fever comes in the evening,should I give him mefkind forte (paracetamol and mefenamic acid suspension)or Kozygo(paracetamol ,dextromethomhan hbr,phenylephrine Hcl syrup)or cefpodoxime proxetil for oral suspension cefobang-50

Hai.. By what you quote...your kid is going through a viral illness & dry cough or khansi is quite common in this. Please do not use combination medicines with paracetamol... Especially Mefenamic acid as its may cause gastritis & kidney issues. As far as cough is concerned any symptomatic cough formula will do but Phenylephrine is known to cause increased heart rate...be on guard. Absolutely no indication for antibiotic or cefpodoxime...Happy to help anytime. If you are happy with my reply, kindly rate it.
