Should Meftal-P Be Given To A Child For Treating Recurring High Fever?
Hi. My child is 4yrs n nine months old. She has been running temp between 101.3- 101.6 yesterday. I gave her 4 doses of crocin syrup. Late night the temp rose to 102 and i administered crocin again @ 4.30 am. In an hours time from then the temp rose to 103.5. I used damp cloth to bring down temp which is now recorded at 100.3. Should i use meftal p in case high fever reoccurs? What should be the time gap between paracetamol n meftal p. Kindly advice.
You can give Meftal to your child once in 4- 6 hours. It can be given 3 hours apart from acetaminophen. You also can give Ibuprofen syrup once in 4-6 hours and about 3 hours apart from Acetaminophen syrup.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
