Should Z-Pak Be Stopped While On Clindamycin?

Was prescribed a Z-PakMonday for sinus infection and then went to dentist Tuesday for an abscess tooth and was prescribed clindamycin. Just wondering if I should stop the Z-Pak or just take both antibiotics? Dentist was informed that I was taking the Z-Pak but didn’t specify if I should stop it or not

Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Z-pak is composed of azithromycin, which is an antibiotic. You can complete the course for your sinus infection as prescribed.
Clindamycin is also an antibiotic used to treat certain bacterial infections.
You can begin its course after completing Z-pak and complete it as prescribed.
Hope the information provided helps.
All the best.
Regards,
Dr.Ashakiran.S.
