Should A Neurologist Or Urologist Be Consulted For Frequent Urination?
Hello there and thank you. I have a complicated situation this morning. My friend has diabetes and MS. He spent about two hours immobile on the floor today and we had to get another friend to lift him up. He was spastic and had some freezing of his muscles along with pain. He had high sugar levels, frequent urination with a foul oder, along with severe fatigue and some nausea. (He did not eat breakfast, but I got him to eat some broth and drink some water.) I think he may have a UTI along with dehydration from the high sugar, and may need to be rehydrated. He is currently not on any medications for his MS other than months infusions administered in the hospital. He also informs me that he stopped taking prescribed Rapiflo approximately 2 weeks ago. My question is, which Doctor should I seek out? His urologist or his neurologist?

Should A Neurologist Or Urologist Be Consulted For Frequent Urination?
Hi, I think you should consult endocrinologist first as these may be due to the poor diabetic control.
