Should A Baby Be Delivered Naturally Or By Caesarian Section Here?

I would like to l know, based on the information I gave above, if I don t get labour contractions naturally, by the 3rd day, would you recommend induction? My gynae has recommended this and perhaps a Ceaserian Section since my baby is more than 3.6kg. What are my chances of me giving birth naturally if I m induced and based on the weight of my baby. This is my first pregnancy and I have no underlying medical conditions. Thank you for your assistance!

Hello,
It looks like part of the query has not been posted here. I will be able to comment further if I can get all the information. As of now, I can see that you are pregnant for the first time with a big baby. If you have no other underlying condition that excludes the possibility of a vaginal birth and if the pelvic assessment done by your consultant finds no disproportion, vaginal delivery can be opted for. If you have early rupture of membranes and fail to have sufficient contractions even after acceleration of labor for 6-10 hours, cesarean section is indicated. If you are past dates and do not respond to induction, abdominal delivery is the only alternative. Hope this helps.
