Should A Nebulizer Be Stopped If It Causes Cough?

I am an 86 year young woman and have copd, asthma and quarterly bouts of bronchitis. I do not have much of a breathing problem. I was just put on a nebulizer and have used it twice a day for two days. I have been constantly coughing while ai was not coughing before I started using the machine. It is very frustrating for me. Do I continue with the machine and constantly cough or do I stop the machine? Thanks for your help.
