Should Anti Rabies Vaccine Be Taken Again For Dog Bite?

Hello DOctor, my son was bitten by my pet dog on 15-10-11 and received inj RAbipur 1 dose on 16th .Today he is bitten again by a street dog on his buttock badly ,What should we do?He had received full immunization for post exposure many times ,most probably last year too.

Hi,
Thank you for asking question on health care magic.
If 6 months passed after taking Rabipur, one should take the full course again.
As your son is badly injured by dog bite he needs Rabies immunoglobulin in addition to Rabies vaccine on 0,3,7,14 and 30 days.
