Should Carbs Be Avoided When Trying To Weight Lift?

What is the proper percentage of protein, carbs, and fats to eat. I ve been told 15% protein, 55% carbs, and 30% fats. I m weight lifting and want to lose 10 # and now the trainer says stay away from carbs and focus 32% protein, 32% carbs, 36% fats. Is this just a low carb diet that in not balanced? What does balance mean?

Hello

Thank You for contacting HCM.

Welcome to Health Care Magic.

My name is Dr Muhammad Ahmad & i will look into your problem.

I have gone through your query and would try to help you in the best possible way.

Carbs..proteins and fats are all required for normal working of body what we need is a balance..

body builder do two things First they cut all the fat and then they eat massive protein and carb to make huge mass but before competitiions or when they want cuts ,they lower the carbs just enough carbs which can fulfill there energy requirment and they up the protein ratio

so if you are cutting down fat these days and going for lean cut body you have to increase protein percentage and decrease carbs.

BALANCE: means eating according to your needs if you wana gain muscle but you eating more carb you are not in balance if you wana lose muscle and get cuts but you are eating more carb less protein again you are not in balance so balance means to adjust your diet according to need

Hope this answers your question. If you have additional questions or follow
up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us.
Wishing you good health
