Should Diet Be Increased To Maintain The Percentile Growth?

My daughter is about 5 feet and weighs 80 pounds. She has fallen off of her 25th percentile during adolescence. Should I continue to force her to eat large amounts to gain more weight (she has already gained 10 pounds). She has, however, recently gotten taller.

Hi,

It is extremely common for the kids to look lean and be in that particular centile when they are growing taller.

Any kid who is between 5th to 95th percentile is normal in height and weight so you need not to worry about this at all.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
