Should I Be Concerned About The Intake Of Benadryl And Claritin Together?

I took Lortadine 10mg in the A.M and tonight, plus my bp medication 5 mg of Norvasc. In the mean time I have done Flonase nose spray and taken 2 mucinex (plain 600 mg. Of guaifenesin). I started feeling a little light headed and my bp was up just a little 127/93. So now I have taken 2 Benadryl. I promise this is not normal behavior for me, taking every kind of meds in the house!!! I just can t take a decongestant due to my bp and I am trying to feel better. My question is, should I be concerned about mixing the Benadryl with the 2 Claritin Or any of the other medications?

It is very understandable to want symptoms to improve or resolve completely.

The dizziness would likely be related to the use of excess anti histamines. Loratidine is normally once daily only , taking twice the normal dose along with another type of antihistamine would cause symptoms.
It would be best not to use any other anti histamines for at least 24 hours.

You should consider a topical decongestant eg otrivine. The absorption into the body would be minimal and it would therefore has minimal effect on your blood pressure.
It would improve the congestion.

Warm compress to the face would also aid in drainage as well. This can be used for 10 to 15 minutes, 2 to 3 times a day.
