Should I Be Concerned About The Pain In My Lower Back After A Fall?

I fell down some pretty hard stairs about a week or two ago, right on my lower back; a few days later I slid down a muddy hill on the same spot. I have been experiencing severe pain ever since the accidents. Is it just bruising or could it be something worse?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI,
- A fall on hard stairs must have given a hard blow on your back. Ifyou don't have difficulty in walking, there is no pain or swelling you take pain killer pills over the counter ,take rest & You will be alright in 8-10 days.
- sometimes a fracture of coxes( the terminal end of vertebral column) results in chronic pain. It hurts while sitting.heals n one year. It needs calcium/vitamin D supplements & pain killers .
- If you have severe pain/in upper part of back with swelling, you better should consult a orthopedic doctor ,get investigated & examined for a specific treatment.
Thanks
