But now it in the inside of it his bowel movements are bloody should I take him is tomorrow it was a small bump at first but after laying down for awhile it went down. I m just wondering if this only goin to be a day surgery if he has to go for one he has all the symthos. I have looked it up and everything he as complained about are what I have read up. I really need to know before he gets worse thank you
Hello and welcome to HCM, The symptoms of something coming out of a gap above the belly button and going inside when you lay down is suggestive of hernia. The treatment of hernia is essentially surgical repair. Passage of blood stained stools suggests some kind of infection, inflammation, ulceration, or growth in the bowel. Specific investigations like colonoscopy can be done to look for any abnormality in the bowel. You need to consult your gastroenterologist for clinical examination, relevant investigations and thus management.
