Should I Be Tested For Diabetes Or Blood Sugar Complications?
Hi, I have noticed that every time I eat excess amounts of sugar, I break out in skin boils. Sometimes really deep and infected. I constantly require antibiotics- Should I be tested for diabetes or blood sugar complications?? I am 25 years old, 176cm (5 foot 9) and 68kg. Healthy weight and very fit, but have suffered from chronic stress and depression for 6 years. No period now since 2010. Maybe boils are stress related ? or sugar related?? many thanks

Dear friend i can understand your concern.your height and weight is very good.At your age there is very very little chance to become diabetic type 2.
We need to rule out the possibility of type 1 diabetes,which will present with frequent urination and thirst.
As you rightly said in uncontrolled diabetes there will be increased incidence of infections
Try to do exercise and meditation to reduce stress.
i suggest you to visit doc and do fasting blood sugar and Hba1c to rule out diabetes.
