Should I Be Worried About Absence Of Heartbeat On Trans Vaginal Ultrasound?

I experienced a sharp pain near the MCP joint on my middle finger. This felt like a bee sting, and this area suddenly started to appear like a bruise under the skin turning red, then purple colored. This bruise took over a week to go away. After this discoloration went away, I then had stiffness in my hand and could hardly grip anything in that had. I also had severe swelling and pain in my knuckle of my middle finger. This started a couple of weeks after this bruise had appeared. I went to my family physician and have taken meloxicam for a month now. Some of the swelling went down, but pain and discomfort is still there. What to do next?

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Sharp pain near the MCP joint and purplish discoloration of the skin suggest an injury to the finger which has caused internal bleeding.
Stiffness of finger and inability to grip suggests injury to the nerves supplying the hand.
Thus, an orthopeadic examination is required to assess the nerve function.
Injury to the nerve can symptoms of symptoms of lack of grip etc.
In the meanwhile, you can take pain killers and hot fomentation to releive the pain and discomfort.

Thanks and take care
