Should I Be Worried About Knee Pain After A Reconstruction Surgery?
I have 2 screws in my tibia close to the surface from a tibial osteotomy 18yrs ago & a knee reconstruction 17mths ago. 2wks ago I hit that very spot where 1 screw is on a timber chest. It hurts in my knee, both sides & back of knee & either side of shin. I am worried I have compromised my knee reconstruction.
Apply crepe bandage over leg or use supportive splint. Do ice fomentation and rest to leg.

Hello, I have studied your case history. Traumatic hit injury can lead to bruise due to hematoma formation. You will need X ray of knee to look for bony anatomy. Clinical examination is important to rule out knee ligament injury For these symptoms analgesic like ibuprofen and chymotrypsin medication can be started.
