Hello

Welcome in H.C.M.

I have gone through your query regarding sore throat and enlarge tonsils.

After thinking over your symptoms it appears as tonsillar infection is the source of infection for sore throat in your case. For deciding the line of treatment it is necessary to investigate it by doing-

1- Gram's staining of throat swab.

2- Culture and sensitivity of throat swab.

3- Blood- CBC, ESR, blood sugar (F & PP).

4- X-Ray chest.

5- A.S.O. titre.

With the inferences of above investigation one may plan for treatment.

Regards.
