Should I Be Worried Of The Long, Black String While Having Urethral Stent Placed?

I had a ureteral stent put in about three weeks ago. Tonight when I urinated, a long, black string came out, roughly 3-4 inches. It has happened once before since the stent was put in place. Should I be concerned? I am a 39 year old man with terminal cancer.

Urologist 's  Response
No. That is the string on the stent. It is there to help the urologist find it when it needs to be removed or replaced.
