Should I Consult A Doctor As I Am Having Fever, Dizziness And Clogged Sinuses?

Hi, I have been home with a fever for four days, the fever is around 100.5 in the mornings and evenings, and around 99.7 during the late morning and afternoon. I have been experiencing some dizziness and my sinuses are all clogged up. My tongue has been feeling wierd the past couple of days, almost like a Novocain feeling just in the tip of my tongue. What is going on? And should I go see a doctor?

Hello dear,

The symptoms as mentioned in your post can be attributed to acute exacerbation of Sinusitis.
Investigations like complete blood count & X ray of para-nasal sinus will be helpful in clinching the diagnosis.

Management includes:
1. Steam inhalation.
2. Analgesics like paracetamol.
3. Nasal decongestant drops.
4. Antibiotics depending upon culture & sensitivity as advised by your Doctor. Kindly continue them.
5. Antihistamine preparations can also be used to provide symptomatic relief.
6. Maintain adequate hydration & a healthy balance diet.
7. Also make sure that you are well protected from cold, dust & other allergens.

So, kindly consult an ENT specialist & start treatment as advised.
