Should I Consult A Doctor As I Am Having Severe Joints Pain Especially In Shoulder Joints?
Since the past one month, I am feeling severe pain in both my shoulder joints and gradually feeling pain in all my joints, like ankle wrist, elbow, knee etc. though shoulder joint pain is more pronounced. I am 52 years old, female and borderline diabetic , not on any medication. Could this be due to thyroid or para thyroid disorders or should I consult an orthopaedic ?

Hello, Thanks for your query. Yes, you should consult an orthopaedic surgeon. Joint pain may be due to osteo arthritis , which might be a result of normal ageing process of bones. You should go for exercises/physiotherapy of your joints. However, you should also consult an orthopaedician in your area to exclude any organic cause for your joint pain , who may also go for a serum calcium and a serum vitamin D 3 estimation for you. I do hope that you have found something helpful and I will be glad to answer any further query. Take care
