Should I Consult A Doctor As I Am Having Swelling In My Knee?

Hi, so I was playing soccer earlier today and my knee locked in the straight position and i fell forward and twisted it. At first it seemed fine but now it is swollen and I can no longer straighten my knee and it is very hard to walk. Should I get crutches and see the doctor tomorrow?

Hi, thank you for asking Healthcare Magic.
I really feel so sorry for this. With this presentation, there is a risk of ligament injury within the knee. You can take some non steroidal anti inflammatory agents like Ibuprofen or aspirin to control the pain but you will need to see a doctor for proper assessment and management.

I hope that answers your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. We will be delighted to answer more questions from you.
I wish you good health
