Should I Consult A Doctor As I Split My Thumb Knuckle Due To Punching?

I punched a window out two days ago and as a result I split my thumb knuckle pretty deep. Its swollen and I can't bend it I also have a large bump on my forearm with no cuts around it I can't extend my arm straight without being under tons of pain. Should I let it heal on its own or should I see a doctor?

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
hello, i would advice you to see a doctor and at least get X ray of hand and forearm. Some time this type of injury can cause fracture. Till that time i would advice you to apply ice, and take pain killers like diclofenec. When you are lying keep your hand elevated over a pillow.
