Should I Drink Alcohol While Taking Clingen Forte Vaginal Tablet?

hi,i have been taking clingen forte vaginal tabs since 3 days,but 1rst day i took at night second day i took very lately ,and 3rd day i took at 3 clock in the middle of the night,last nght is the fourth day,and i dint take it till now cause they said it supposed be taken before retiring to bed,is it ok if i take it now? and is it ok if i drink alchohol?

Alcohol should be avoided while taking Clingen forte vaginal tablets.

Clingen fore contains two drugs Tinidazole & Clotrimazole which are effective in the treatment of vaginal infection caused by Trichomona vaginalis and fungus candida.

In addition to metallic taste, abdominal cramps, nausea and vomiting Tinidazole is also known to cause a harmful reaction called "disulfiram reaction" characterized by flushing of the skin, faster heart rate, shortness of breath, nausea, vomiting, throbbing headache, visual disturbance, mental confusion, postural syncope, and circulatory collapse.

In view of the above therefore, you should not take alcohol or alcohol containing beverages or medications such as certain cough syrups etc.

You may complete the course of remaining tablets as prescribed..
