Should I Get Pregnant If Suffering From 47XXY Chromosomal Abnormality?
I am 38 yrs old . I had first child in 2007, normal pregnancy & delivery, healthy child. Had miscarriage at 19 weeks, no pain but had spotting on US there was full cervical dilation & membranes were bulging, in 2010. Had 2 D & C's after this miscarriage because of heavy bleeding fron retained products. 3 rd time 2011 April I had miscarriage again at 7 weeks, had spotting, on US no heart beat so had D& C. Chromosome analysis comes as 47XXY. Please advise me I I should consider another pregnancy with this history. Can 3 D & C's effect my uterine lining and impair conception in future. Can this anomaly recur.

HI, Thanks for the query. I understand your concern. You had 3 D&Cs .. last being in 2011. Sufficient time has passed ..You must have covered the weakness & are fit in 2017.. the conception followed by chromosomal analysis ( mother being affected by 47 XXY chromosomal anomaly.). have about 65% chances of no abnormality noted in fetus. Your age being 38 yrs now...if you are willing you can take a chance of pregnancy... But it must follow chromosomal analysis...( for after 35 years.. chances of Mangolism rise) to exclude any abnormality in baby .. then only you can continue it to term. Thanks
