Should I Get The Fistula Removed?

I've had a kidney transplant for 9 years and all is well. Two of my doctors want me to have my fistula removed. It has gotten large over the years. The doctor I was sent to said he wouldn't do the surgery because there could be a lot of problems. Mainly clotting problems. Lately I've been having pain throughout my hand. I just got an xray and I am waiting for the results. Question...Should I get the fistula removed or what are your thoughts.
