Should I Start Medicine For Having Elevated Sgot An Sgpt Levels?

Last month i tested sgot sgpt the value are 86 and 140, i stopped alchole and again LFT tested after 35 days but values are same sgot 98 and sgpt 128 but lft test shows other values are under normal except sgot and sgpt. should i take medicine, kindly advise

HI Your SGOT, SGPT values are slightly elevated . At present for this value you don't need treatment . Also the pattern of elevation is showing that it is not alcohol induced elevated but some other cause is there ( Most likely a viral infection , medicines induced )

Unless you have fever or right sided abdominal pain there is no need to take any medicine now . Continue abstaining alcohol and repeat LFT after 6 weeks .
