Should Immediate Medical Consultation Be Taken For Black Bowel Movement?

I had severe constipation, had to use Fleet enema, and I noticed that my stools are now black and firm. They have been for a couple of weeks. We are leaving on a the 20th of May for Africa, taking our granddaughter. Can I wait till we get back or should I go to a doctor now? milli
