He also experiences Trembling in right hand some times and in right leg rarely. Also he Has been taking syndopa Plus 3 times a day as of now with Ropark 2 mg once a day. He is advised to take Syndopa CR 125 once before Goind to Sleep. Should he start taking syndopa Cr125 or should he avoid taking it and Continue With his Dosage. In A long Run how to Control this Problem or is it in anyway possible to eradicate this Disease..?

Hello,

From what you've narrated, his current treatment with Syndopa Plus three times a day and Ropark once daily provides some benefit, though not complete, especially with the tremors showing on and off.

Regarding the Syndopa CR 125 at bedtime, this is a common next step in the management of Parkinson's disease when symptoms such as stiffness, tremor, or slowness begin early in the morning. Therefore, the term "early morning off" symptoms since the regular Syndopa wears off during the night. The CR tablet allows for a steady release of Levodopa overnight and reduces these fluctuations.

Hence, if his neurologist has prescribed bedtime Syndopa CR, it is safe to begin, as it's meant to smoothen symptom control through the night. This should not replace the regular doses of Syndopa Plus but is in addition to them before sleeping. The one important thing to watch out for is the development of excessive movements, vivid dreams, or confusion, mainly in the first days. At which point, the neurologist should be informed to adjust the dose.

About your other question, unfortunately, Parkinson's disease cannot be cured or completely eradicated, but it can be well controlled for many years with proper medication, physiotherapy, and regular follow-up with the neurologist. It is very important to exercise, eat a high-protein diet taken at least an hour after medications, get good sleep, and manage stress in order to keep the symptoms stable for longer.

Considering that your father is still young, it is important to include a dopamine agonist like Ropark in his treatment. This will help reduce any dependence on Syndopa for a while, which would delay motor complications.

In short, I agree that it is usually advisable to start the Syndopa CR at bedtime. Keep a close eye on him. Continue the current day-time doses. Inform his doctor if there are new symptoms once he starts.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. If you have any further query I will be happy to help. Wish you good health.
