Should One Abstain From Physical Activities Post A Mild Head Injury?

I hit my head on the sofa arm pretty nicely 24 hours ago. I got a headache and nauseous, and did dry heave a little. I took 2 ibuprofen and within 30 minutes all symptoms were gone. I did sleep but was woken up every 2 hours. I ve not had any issues since, and I ve carried on with my day today going a short walk to a park and the supermarket. My question: at this stage is there any reason I should abstain from any activities, such as exercise, sex or anything like that?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

The head injury seems to be trivial. No progression in symptoms suggest nothing serious to be concerned. As a precaution you can avoid excessive stress during exercise or any other such activities for a week.
