Should The ER Be Visited For Nausea Along With Dry Heaves, Chills And Shortness Of Breath?
husband is nauseated, has dry heaves, extremely cold, labored breathing. Should he go to the er? He is 5.5 weeks post hip replacement and had been unable to urinate on his own. Is being scheduled for prostate surgery. He currently has a catheter in.
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Post hip replacement patients are prone to develop deep vein thrombosis in the calf muscle then it may dislodge may lead to pulmonary embolism so take care. fat embolism also seen in hip joint replacement. Also check for acute viral Rhinopharyngitis or pneumonia etc. Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
