Should The Carpel Boss Be Removed From The Wrist To Regain The Normal Activities?

Hey what would you suggest for me. I've seen a few doctors about my wrist, it has been limiting me at the gym and causing me pain during intense workouts. One doctor said it was a ganglion cyst, and now today a different doctor said that it is a carpel boss. Should I have it removed? Will I be fully functional and able to workout and such afterward? after it heals of course..
