Should The Insulin For Diabetes Be Stored In Fridge?
We just found out the my year old grandson has Type1 diabetes and I want to know if ALL insulins have to be stored in the fridge as my daughter-in-law said she was told that the insulin he takes does not have to be stored there. However, my fried, whose mother was a diabetic told me that she was certain that ALL insulin must be stored in the fridge, is this correct?
Insulin bottles or pen devices which are not currently in use should be stored in the door compartment of the refrigerator. The insulin which is currently in use can be kept outside at room temperature ( Avoid direct sunlight, Direct heat like keeping near the stove). the insulin kept outside should be finished within one month. as a precaution always check the nature of the insulin solution before injecting.
