Should The Scope Be Done For Constipation Followed By Hard Bowels And Diarrhea, Mucus Leakage From Rectum?

My mother is 75 years old and was constipated for a couple of days, she used a rectal enema but was unsuccessful because of blockage. Then she finally had a hard movement then diarrhea and was completely spent/exhausted afterward. No energy and is weak. She is leaking some mucus from her rectum. Should she have a scope done?

Hi, Welcome to Health care magic forum.
As you describe it appears to be the after effect of the enema, and may be due to unusual experience, it is only due to the diet habbit may not be related to the disease, if it is repeated you can think of it.
I advise you to consult a Physician for diagnosis and treatment.
I usually treat my patient with such symptoms with intravenous fluids.
Wishing for a quick and complete recovery. Thank you.
