Should The Surgery Be Done For Perennial Tendonitis?

I took up running two years ago. I had peronial tendonitis. I went to see the foot specialist and he told me to have surgery but I just left it. It seems ok now but will I be able to run again without the surgery or do I have to correct it by surgery.

Hi,

If you suffered from peroneal tendinitis, we should assess the reason. If we get successful in treating the cause surgery may not be needed. Do a clinical evaluation is advisable from an orthopedic surgeon or foot specialist.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Sushil Vijay, Orthopedic Surgeon
