Should The Titanium Rod Be Removed From The Femur Bone?

My Name Mohamed Shijil Age:27

I had an car Accident on 02 July 2011, and i Had femur fracture.

Now I had a titanium rod implanted in my left Femur bone. Now one year completed.

I doubted that this titanium rod need to be removed?

If I don't remove what is the disadvantage?

Please give me your valued advise.
