Hi,
Thanks for posting your query.
You may have cervical spondylitis or acute viral fever (flu).
Do you have this pain before the start of coughing, sneezing?
If yes, then you may have cervical spondylitis and this area is suppliedby C3, 4 and you should go for cervical spine x ray on priliminary basis.
You should also consult with orthopedic surgeon and should go for CT/ MRI scan cervical spine.
If backache is associated with coughing, sneezing then you should consult with physician and should go for complete blood count, ESR and chest x ray.
You should also take muscle relaxants, antibiotics (to prevent secondary bacterial infection) nd anti-inflammatory on written prescription.
Take care,
Dr. Mayank Bhargava
Hello and welcome to HCM
You pain needed to be investigated for Cervical Spondylosis and Muscular Pain and pain related to heart. To get clarify some more information is needed.
Your age, any history of Hypertension and Diabetes, your Lipid profile and most importantly EKG and stress test.
It seem that your pain is related to cervical and muscular as it increases with deep inspiration and cough, can be treated with analgesic and anti-inflammatory drugs and local gels, hot fermentation also help. But if you are above 30 that you should go for EKG and stress teat to rule out heart related issue.
Best Wishes
