Sinus Treated With Prednisone Santa, Zyrtec. Course Completed. Head To Upper Body Hurt To Touch. Recommendations?
I had a sinus infection given a sulfa drug that didn't help doc switched me to augmenton broke out with severe hives discontinued that and started a 14 pill 5 day regimen of prednisone Santa and zyrtec. along with a z-pack . Completed the prednisone two days ago. Yesterday head neck arms upper body all hurt to touch. Feel as if I have been beaten. Will this subside?
Dear, As per the history you have given and the clinical findings you may be suffering with Acute sinusitis. Presdnisolone is steroid and should be restricted for days only. Now a days newer steroids have come in which have less side effect like deflasacort. I would suggest you to consult the Specialist if you don’t get relief as on examination the findings may be different and line of treatment may have to be changed.
