Skin Burning Sensation In Body. Taking Niacin, Baby Aspirin, Muscle Relaxer. Any Ideas?

I woke up early this morning with a severe skin burning sensation over my entire body. I had been laying on my side and the parts of my legs that were touching the mattress were bright red/purply with blotches. My arms and face were bright pink. I thought it was due to the niacin in my cholesterol pill so I took baby aspirin and went back to bed. When I got up I was pink from head to toe but the burning was gone. The pink stayed with me a few more hours then went away. I also had taken a muscle relaxer before I went to bed. Any ideas what caused this?

Hello,
Thanks for the query,

Niacin is known to cause erythema and skin rash.

Your condition might be related to this.

Even muscle relaxant has the capability to case drug reaction.

Continue niacin for few days and observe if rash reappear.

Let me know you have any other doubts.

Please meet a dermatologist for final diagnosis.
