Sleepless Night With Sore Throat And Frequent Cough
Hi, My mom has had sleepless nights for a few days(2 days) and has also complained of sore throat and frequent cough every 5min. Today, the cough worsened and she took antibiotics which i think didn t suit her and she started to puke. Now, she has a terrible sore throat and cough, headache , body pain and quite high fever . She feels very sick and is not in a condition to go the doctor.Do you think it is a viral fever? Please help!!
Welcome to Healthcare Magic It is possible she has viral fever which caused the pharyngitis as well. Is she a smoker. Any sputum production. She needs to do steam inhalation and take cough suppressants if it is a dry cough. Which antibiotic did she take. It is best if she consults her Doctor to rule out bacterial infection for which then she can take antibiotic over meal and not on empty stomach. Let her eat soft food, no cold food or liquids, just warm food and liquids. For the fever and headache she can take Paracetamol under medical supervision. If she does not get better she needs medical help.
