Slight Pain Above Belly Button And Tender To Touch. Should I Meet A Doctor?

Hi,

I seem to have a slight pain (to the touch), just above my belly button. I've had it for a
few days. I think it may be from irregularity, (but that hasn't been the problem this week
after Thanksgiving). It may be a strained muscle from my morning movements.
I don't feel a bump, it's just tender to the touch. I applied some Bengay this morning, and s
ome Icy Hot ointment last night. Should I be concerned and make an appointment?

Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The mild pain over the belly button that has appeared suddenly without any history of injury to the area can be due to a muscle sprain. You can do a hot fomentation in the area and see if it is relieved.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
