Small Brown Worm Like Thing In Stool. Is It Parasite?
What is the short (about a centimeter) brown worm like thing, in my stool? I was having no pain when I used the bathroom, it was just a regular bathroom I had to go to, and there it was. Is it a parasite? Could I have gotten it from my dog? She is 6 pounds, mostly indoors, (goes outside to go pee in the front yard, she takes about 1 minute) and I kiss her on the nose . Is it from her?
Welcome to Health Care Magic Hope you are doing good. There are many types of worm in infected person like whipworm, pinworm, roundworm, and hookworm. People usually get it from infected person or animals as you have mentioned your close contact with your dog. The eggs stick to our nails or hand and we swallow it one way or other way. we can also get it from infected water.
There is nothing to worry , just get vermox (mebendazole = broad-spectrum anthelmintic) to get de-worm. Indication of vermox is One tablet (500 mg) given as a single dose. A second dose should be given to those patients who are still infected three to four weeks after the first dose.
I hope have answered your query , feel free to ask if you have any query. Wish you good Health. Regards
