Small Brownish Discharge Post Child Birth, Then Heavy White Cheesy Discharge, Pain In Uterus. Is It Normal ?

Hi. I gave birth 3 and half month ago..I have sever frequent white discharge that started after around 6 weeks of delivery
It used to be period blood then small amount yellowish brownish discharge , then it became this heavy white cheesy discharge .is it normal or should I do anything,,,plus sometimes I feel faint stabbing pain in my uterus area nothing serious and only for few seconds.....and how should I take care of this area to keep it healthy and minimise discharges?? Ps . I had vaginal delivery no complications.and haven't had sex yet

hello,
Actually after the delivery youwillhave vaginal discharge and bleeding which is known as lochia and it will continue for some weeks and it is purely normal and it will be resolved by itself but as you described that its too long you need to consult your doctor as there might be some infection and you need to be treated with antibiotics for that.During delivery our normal flora wil be disturbed and sometimes it itself may cause infection.Thank you.

Hi, it appears there is infection in the perineum, or uterus, due to tears in the vegina, during delevery. I advise you to consult a gynacologist for diagnosis and treatment.
I to my patient with such symptoms prescribe fluconazole, cifixime, to clear the infection. Thank you.
