Omnacortil(steroid) is a wonder drug in various condition as it is an anti inflammatory drug. But there are only certain indications of it's use. There is a long list of serious side effects of omnacortil .
It seems that your baby is having some viral condition. It is not indicated in viral infection. Omnacortil for short duration can be given in hyper reactive airway disease.
I would suggest you to consult your doctor for diagnosis and proper treatment.

thanku for your query,
well because of travelling and weather change your baby has caught some respiratory tract infection .No u should never give Omnacortil by yourself , it should only be given under dr's prescription and that is very rare unless and until, child in your case have severe bronchiolitis and other conditions which r v rare
well noise from chest can be because of congestion and nose blockage, baby needs some antiallergics, and cough suppressants .baby should be kept warm ,fed with soft diet and lot of liquids .avoid giving sour and cold things in diet. if baby is not getting better in a day or two, need to show her to pediatrician.

your daughter is having cough and cold which is mostly viral in origin and takes few days to settle.
i advise you to give paracetamol in case she has fever,give her warm fluids to drink.steam inhalation is also beneficial.
i suggest you not to do any self medication ,omnacortil should not be given without doctors advise.in case her symptoms do not get better take pediatric consultation.
Your daughter will be fine.
